Personal History: Born in Oakland California on Earth, across the bay from San Francisco to Arthur and Amanda Hunter. Both of her parents were in Starfleet, both pilots based at the Jupiter Defence station. She has one sibling, an older brother, Gabriel, that she is very close to, who she calls Gabe. Rebecca was a typical military child, spending much of her free time around pilots from her parents squadrons. She was very popular with the pilots, who took to having her around all the time and concidered her their mascot of sorts and was given her callsign, Carrot, by the friends she had made amongst the pilots. From erly on she had decided she wanted to be a fighter pilot like her parents before her. She spent as much time studying fighter craft and piloting. She earned her civilian pilots licens at the age of 16 and was given a small atmospheric flyer for her birthday by her grandfather. That same year her brother Gabriel joined Starfleet Academy, bound to be a pilot as well. She was envious of her brother and two years later, as soon as she turned 18 she enrolled in the Academy, selecting the Marine pilot track. Rebecca found life at the Academy well enough. She fit in due to her many years of hanging around the officer mess for her parents squadrons. She did find some of the academic portions of her training difficult, but managed. Her Academy training was cut short with the outbreak of the Dominion war in late 2373. She was rished through final combat training and graduated with the comission of Second Lieutenant. Her first assignment to Fighter Squadron 147, the Black Dragons aboard the starship USS Ambernite NCC-42261, a Curry class fleet carrier which was quickly moved to the front line as part of the Fifth Fleet. The fightercraft of choice then was the Peragrin class, which Rebecca flew into many combat missions. She saw heavy combat as the fleet her ship was assigned to was thrown into some of the worst combat zones. Though wounded several times in battle Rebecca survived the war, even taking part in the battle of Bajor and final battle over Cardasia. Her father died in the war, killed when the Breen launched their surprise attack on Earth it's self. The news of his death had been devistating to Rebecca, but she forced all of that emotion, the sadness, the rage, into her ferocity in battle. She was noted as being the most dangerous and routhless combat pilots aboard the Ambernite during the final months of the war. Even after the wars end, she opted to remain aboard the Ambernite and eventually took up the Squadron Executive Commanders possiton within the 147th before recieving command of her own squadron, the 21st Attack Squadron, stationed aboard the same starship in 2378. She now flew Kingston class fighters, a ship she much preferred over the bulky Peragrin. The first few years after the war were still rough in the border sectors, with rogue Dominion remenant forces still scattered about to be rounded up and neutralized. But by the time 2380 came along these threats were all but gone. Rebecca was recalled, with her squadron, to Earth. The Ambernite, the ship she had called homed for seven and a half years was placed out of service and decomissioned. Granted an extended shoreleave Rebecca spent several months on Earth with her mother, who had retired from the fleet as of the wars end in 2376. Her brother too had come home, it was the first time all of the surviving members of her family had been able to come together since before the war had begun. Rebecca found herself, with her squadron posted to the Miranda class destroyer, USS Mars, which was tasked with monitoring the trade routs between planets near the Romulan border. The post was uneventfull, compared to previous assignments. Combat assignments few, and far between, her missions consisted mostly of escort flights and patrol. By the Decdember of 2382 Rebecca stood down as Commander of the 21st and returned to Earth once more, her Brother had been seriously wounded during a mission and was not expected to survive. She remained at his side the entire time he was at Starfleet medical. Gabriel did pull through in the end. Rebeca was happier than she could have ever been. After loosing her father in the war, loosing her brother would have been crushing. 2383 she had to return to the fleet. She accepted temporary assignment to the USS Formidable, as a squadron training instructor. The Formidable was her uncle, Captain Cale Hunter's ship, which had just taken on a rookie squadron. Rebecca was more than happy to train her uncles new pilots while she awaited a squadron command of her own once more. That opportunity arrived six months later when she was requested to command SMA-225 Vikings squasron, a bomber group stationed aboard the newly comissioned Sovereign class starship USS Poseidon NCC-89515.
